Ahh...shiatsu is HERE!!!

I'm so excited to now be providing this awesome technique!!  As far as I know, I'm the only certified Ahh...shiatsu practitioner around the Cabot area and I am thrilled to be able to share this with our community! Ahh...shiatsu is a technique that allows for (but doesn't require) the deepest pressure available without the pain that is associated with a typical deep tissue massage.

The therapist uses her feet to give the massage.  The craziest part is that the feet feel like giant hands...you can't even tell they are feet! :)

This massage is being hailed as the deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet and there is good reason for it!  It increases postural alignment and is GREAT for athletes, those with back pain, high stress levels, scoliosis or anyone who just needs a good deep tissue massage!  While the pressure can be greater than with any other type of massage, it doesn't have to be.  One foot is always on the table, allowing the therapist to place as much (or as little) pressure as the client requires.

Give it a try.  Until the end of the month, Ahh...shiatsu massages are $20 off! You'll feel like you're floating when your massage is over...you'll love it!  The website has more information...

Hope everyone has a great week!  Start it off by making an appointment for your massage...taking care of yourself should be on your "to do" list despite your heavy schedule.  YOU ARE WORTH IT!! :)

Until next time...

Post-Event Massage...it really does make a difference!!

Did you run the Little Rock Marathon, Half Marathon or 5K?

If so, CONGRATULATIONS!  Now, you should definitely think about getting a massage to reduce the muscle inflammation that is coming.  New research reported in the Huffington Post last month shows the chemical response to therapeutic massage after exercise is real and measurable!

Click the link below to read the article and see how post-event massage can really help with soreness!  And, consider trying an Ahh...shiatsu massage (new, this month!).  It hits all of any runner's "trouble" spots and FEELS AMAZING!  Check the website for more info on Ahh...shiatsu.  You're going to LOVE it! :)

Hope you all have a great week!!http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/02/post-exercise-massages-work_n_1250408.html
